Jamieson's Quilt

This T-Shirt quilt cracked me up.  The T-shirts are from my nieces husband's college days as a fraternity brother at Ball State.  They are so clever and raunchy it always took me a minute to catch what they true meaning was in each one.

Sallee's T -Shirt Quilts

These two quilts were made for Sallee's two daughters.  Each one represents their timeline. Sallee designed them to go in chronological order.  I love when people design their quilt because it is interesting to see how they organize their T-shirts.  It is also takes the pressure of of me. HA!

Pat's Quilt

Pat is a co-worker from I met through working at Wrigley Field. Her quilt was really fun to make because it went from Rod Stewart to the Cubs to the Wrigleville bars. It was fun to make and learn more about Pat.

Dad's T- Shirts

This quilt was made out of Amanda's dad's T-Shirts.  It was very sentimental to this mans son.  From what I have been told he sleeps with it every night wrapped up as a pillow.  When I hear things like this its warms my heart and makes me feel like what I do has so much relevance in someones life for a long time.

Mariah's Quilt

Mariah's quilt is made out of many T-shirts from beautiful Indiana University.  This was the first time I used a lighter color for the back ground per her request.  I really think it is peaceful back ground color for a girls quilt and would suggest using it again.

Austin's Quilt

This was the second quilt I made for this family.  This is Austin's quilt. As I make T-shirt quilts I notice such a big difference in T-shirts between female and  male.

Jerry's T-Shirt Quilts

These quilts were made with my brothers T-shirts. I had agile of them so I found the doubles and separated them then I went by colors.  My niece and nephew picked out which one they liked best and now it resides in their homes.

My T-Shirt Quilt

I have had my T-shirts forever in hope of making a quilt out of them.  I finally pulled them out of the bin they have called home for many, many years and started sewing them together.  I had to have some organization so I started with my elementary school T-shirts in the top left hand corner and worked my way through my highs school years as well as college. I'm so happy my quilts found a home and are happy together.  I am! What a way to see my memories in one place.

Mother Love

This quilt was made for friend of a friend. A friend's mother  passed away unexpectedly and being a good friend she had her friend's husband to get these T-Shirts and had me make them into a quilt.  By looking at this quilt I see a woman that enjoyed her life and had many interests.

Baby Love

This quilt was made out of various baby clothes that were saved for eight years just waiting for the right person to make these into a delightful memory quilt for their granddaughter. Fast forward I stepped into this project at the dentists office.  One of the office ladies over heard a conversation of mine  about quilts and decided I would be the one to put together her memory quilt.  The order was pink. I had a hard time organizing the T-shirts because of the color so I had my design friend come to the rescue and hep with the order of the shirts.  I really liked how they all complimented each other and how the pink framed them out.

Amy's Quilt

Amy's quilt was a re-do! What is a re-do? A re-do is when you send it to someone online and you get it back and you look at it and think oh my goodness how did this happen and how what do I do now? This is where I come into the picture.  I took the old quilt a part piece by piece and did it exactly they way Amy wanted it.  I feel when you make a quilt for someone it should be exactly the way they envision their hard earned running t-shirts.  Amy has four sons and she wanted something in her house that is feminine looking.  This is what I came up with for her. We used white for the top of the quilt then Amy picked out a flannel backing.  Sure to keep her warm during our long winter  midwestern winters.

A side view on the bed.  We put a yellow binding around it to pull the quilt together.  It was her husband's choice. SShhh

Marc's Quilt

Marc's quilt is Amy's son's quilt.  He had been wanting one made out of his impressive Running/Iron Man T-shirts.  He wanted something masculine (of course) so this is what his mother and I came up with for him. I want to meet this young man his athletic ability seems so impressive to me! Stud.

Very close.

Kelsey B.

A new style of a T-Shirt quilt was in the making for this quilt. This was an order for a T-shirt quilt but not  the usual framed in quilt.  Okay,  I can do this.  I had about 70 shirts with instructions on which side to use and what to make sure was used on that part of the T-shirt.  I really enjoyed the instructions because it framed out the importance of each T-shirt. I always find the center T-shirt first then work from there.  On this one it was "Daddy's  Little Girl".  There were two widths of T-shirts on this one I believe on about 12 inches and one  about 15 inches.   The order was to add the color striped trim around the border and frame it out in black.  This really pulled the quilt together.  It made it very happy!
Just hanging!

Funny how the washing machine brings up the best part of the  quilt!

From the side to show the frame.
