Mr. B Revisited

I have been really slow getting to my projects and completing them.  I finally pulled out the rest of the ties to make a table runner.  I did not realize until I sewed a few together that I needed to iron fusible interfacing to the back.  Once I did that it made things much easier to sew and to stay in place. I am happy with the result.
 What color ties belong together?
They seem to take over the area when working on these.
 Iron, iron and more iron.
 Now to cool a bit.
  Sewing them together.
They must be trimmed straight now.

 Snip snip

Sewn together! Looking good for the holidays.
 I like it!
Every other tie was sewn down with a little star.

Pink Runners Everywhere

I was having some friends over for Valentine's Day food and fun and  for some reason I got on this kick to make pink runners for my dining room and kitchen. Once it is in my head it is full speed ahead. All of them were made from scraps and seemed to fit together well.

Pink scraps sewn together.

A little closer now.

Close up of my elaborate stitching. Ha!

A different view.

On the big table with a weird shadow.

Table Runner

I am starting to use my new sewing machine and it rocks! I decided to finish a table runner and just let it rip. It is fun to try new stitches and it is almost liberating because you don't have don't have to think so much. After a day in the jungle it is really relaxing. Just let the machine do its thing. Kind of like rock n roll! We all know you can never have too much of that!
