Staci's Quilt

This quilt was made for my life-long friend Staci. She lost her brother unexpectedly and  I thought she needed a little pick me up.  She likes sky blue and I seemed to ignore that request   I'm not sure why that happens. I hope she enjoys her naps underneath this with her beautiful grandkids.

CoCo's Quilt

This quit was made my from my friend Coco's Cancer walk T-Shirts. She chose the background fabric of white with black triangles. It really complimented her T-shirts nicely.  It resides in beautiful Bloomington IN.

Sherie's Quilt

This quilt was made for my high school friend Sherie.  In the past month she has lost a sibling and a mother.   I thought a little pick me up may be in order for her.  The picture she sent me of her apartment was very calm and peaceful. I'm not sure how this will work with her decor this is what I cam up with for her apartment. I hope it makes her feel better and makes a nap a little more peaceful.

Mike's Quilt

My dear friend Mike is going through a bout with cancer.  I thought he needed a special blanket to keep him cozy during this process.  He is an avid Cubs and IU fan.  I think this will work out great for him.

Debbie's Quilt

This quilt was made for my dear wild and crazy high school friend Debbie.  We had many fun times and laughs during our formative years together.  They ranged from learning how to drive and driving our parents cars and going to concerts and probably a little bit of drinking here and there. HA! Her mother passed away and she was so distraught I could feel her pain and as usual a blanket was in the making.  Her colors were red and blue and this is what red and blue looked like to me.  This blanket will be residing in beautiful Austin, Texas.

Joe & Leah Ann

These two blankets were made for my brother Joe and his wife. I made his out of left over wool and flannel.  I made it longer because he is on  the taller side. I'm not sure  what color Leah Ann requested but this is what I ended up with for her.  I really liked all the movement in her blanket.  It is kind of a hippy looking quilt which I think will fit her just fine.

Amanda & Matt's Wedding Quilt

This quilt was made for my nephew Matt and his wife Amanda.  Amanda picked out the colors and I made it.  the whole quilt is fadeout of triangles.  It became a challenge as I I started to runout of fabric. So, back to the store I would go and find something that would not fight the other colors.  Now when I look back at it I think it should have made it a heart. I hope they enjoy it!

Sallee's T -Shirt Quilts

These two quilts were made for Sallee's two daughters.  Each one represents their timeline. Sallee designed them to go in chronological order.  I love when people design their quilt because it is interesting to see how they organize their T-shirts.  It is also takes the pressure of of me. HA!

Pat's Quilt

Pat is a co-worker from I met through working at Wrigley Field. Her quilt was really fun to make because it went from Rod Stewart to the Cubs to the Wrigleville bars. It was fun to make and learn more about Pat.

Madeline's Pumpkin Quilt

This is Madeline's Pumpkin quilt.  Madeline is in 4th grade and is great niece number 1.  I think it began as a smaller blanket but grew.  Oh well you never know how fast you may grow. Hopefully she will enjoy it.

Dad's T- Shirts

This quilt was made out of Amanda's dad's T-Shirts.  It was very sentimental to this mans son.  From what I have been told he sleeps with it every night wrapped up as a pillow.  When I hear things like this its warms my heart and makes me feel like what I do has so much relevance in someones life for a long time.

Ali and Michael's College T - Shirt quilt.

This quilt was made for my  college friends  daughter and son n law. The quilt is made from their favorite T-shirts from Indiana University. A great place to spend four years!

Avery Joyse's Baby Quilts

My dear friend Lee is becoming a Grandma for the first time.  Her daughter Leslie is very excited and just bought a groovy house in Broad Ripple. I made her one blanket that I thought my match Avery's room.  I was commissioned by one of her Aunts to take her Grandmother's night gowns and make some baby blankets.  It is always hard to do that but once your realize it will be such a keepsake you just dig in and figure it out.

Blanket I designed for the room.
                                                                   A little closer now.

The cardinals and flip flops were the pajamas.

The gold is what highlights the blue and pinkish night gowns. I quilted this one like crazy to give it a very old look.

                                                                         Closer.

Before I quilted it like crazy due to the puckers in it because of stretching.

Enslee's Letters

These letters were about 6 by 9 inches  and stuffed with left over cotton batting.  Each letter has a symbol that represents the letter.  Some of these were so easy to find fabric and others were quite an issue.  I think someday they will be fun to learn new words and will hopefully be passed down to her sister Haislee.

String Quilt

This is my version of a string quilt.  This is very time consuming and tedious.  My white, center pieces were from some curtains I had made.  The rest were scraps.  I sewed long pieces of scraps together then sewed them to the center piece. I am happy with the results and it certainly does brighten up the room and makes it feel like summer. When I look at it I can't believe I made it. Shew!

My Tuffett

This took some time to make.   I had found  pattern with a kit I bought from JoAnns.  After sewing it together it  took some help to staple it to the sides .The legs then had to be stained and screwed on.  Tuffets are cool but are quite a bit of work. Shew I'm glad its over.
