Ali and Michael's College T - Shirt quilt.

This quilt was made for my  college friends  daughter and son n law. The quilt is made from their favorite T-shirts from Indiana University. A great place to spend four years!

Avery Joyse's Baby Quilts

My dear friend Lee is becoming a Grandma for the first time.  Her daughter Leslie is very excited and just bought a groovy house in Broad Ripple. I made her one blanket that I thought my match Avery's room.  I was commissioned by one of her Aunts to take her Grandmother's night gowns and make some baby blankets.  It is always hard to do that but once your realize it will be such a keepsake you just dig in and figure it out.

Blanket I designed for the room.
                                                                   A little closer now.

The cardinals and flip flops were the pajamas.

The gold is what highlights the blue and pinkish night gowns. I quilted this one like crazy to give it a very old look.

                                                                         Closer.

Before I quilted it like crazy due to the puckers in it because of stretching.

Tote Bag

This bag was used making the Tourist Tote Pattern.  I love this bag.  It is fun to use and holds plenty of my stuff as well as the fabric and yarn I tend to buy and sneak in my house.

Haislee's Baby Blanket

This quilt was made with some of my favorite scraps. I thinks it is very peaceful and calming.  I hope Haislee does too.

Enslee's Letters

These letters were about 6 by 9 inches  and stuffed with left over cotton batting.  Each letter has a symbol that represents the letter.  Some of these were so easy to find fabric and others were quite an issue.  I think someday they will be fun to learn new words and will hopefully be passed down to her sister Haislee.

String Quilt

This is my version of a string quilt.  This is very time consuming and tedious.  My white, center pieces were from some curtains I had made.  The rest were scraps.  I sewed long pieces of scraps together then sewed them to the center piece. I am happy with the results and it certainly does brighten up the room and makes it feel like summer. When I look at it I can't believe I made it. Shew!

My Tuffett

This took some time to make.   I had found  pattern with a kit I bought from JoAnns.  After sewing it together it  took some help to staple it to the sides .The legs then had to be stained and screwed on.  Tuffets are cool but are quite a bit of work. Shew I'm glad its over.

Pumpkin Love

I started making Pumpkins and ended up with placemats and a runner. I had bought a bunch of orange fabric quite some time ago when it was on sale. I seemed to never use it so I started making small squares and this is what I came up with.  They make me happy and seem to last a long time on my table. They kind of remind me of hand grenades.  Oh well.

Mike's Quilt

Mike is a dear friend of mine from teaching. We hired in the same year and have been friends ever since.  He had a bout with eye cancer so my rescue is a blanket made of his favorite sports teams IU and the Cubs.

Medallion Quilt

This is my version of a Medallion quilt. I started in the middle and worked my way out.  It was really fun to see how this turned out as I kept adding different fabrics around and around to see what would work. These are fun to make and are a great way to use your favorite scraps you have been holding on for dear life.

Donation Quilt - Scraps

I started making this quilt out of scraps. It turned out to way to big.  I should have made this into two quilts.  I donated this to California fire victims.  I hope that someone is enjoying this.

Mariah's Quilt

Mariah's quilt is made out of many T-shirts from beautiful Indiana University.  This was the first time I used a lighter color for the back ground per her request.  I really think it is peaceful back ground color for a girls quilt and would suggest using it again.

Austin's Quilt

This was the second quilt I made for this family.  This is Austin's quilt. As I make T-shirt quilts I notice such a big difference in T-shirts between female and  male.

Stella & LoLa

The above and below quilts were a custom order for a friend's beautiful dogs.  I have made many blankets for these beautiful animals but this was a little different.  The first order was to match the bed with a quilt that would sit at the foot of the bed.  I was concerned about matching the fabric but after finding another stash of fabric it was very easy to do.  I love how it matches and how one certain animal loves it! These dogs are best models.

The next order was to make a few blankets that would be put in the TV room for the dogs to lie on while everyone in the room is hanging out as well as the dogs.  This is a fantastic scrap buster!
