Mariah's Quilt

Mariah's quilt is made out of many T-shirts from beautiful Indiana University.  This was the first time I used a lighter color for the back ground per her request.  I really think it is peaceful back ground color for a girls quilt and would suggest using it again.

Austin's Quilt

This was the second quilt I made for this family.  This is Austin's quilt. As I make T-shirt quilts I notice such a big difference in T-shirts between female and  male.

Stella & LoLa

The above and below quilts were a custom order for a friend's beautiful dogs.  I have made many blankets for these beautiful animals but this was a little different.  The first order was to match the bed with a quilt that would sit at the foot of the bed.  I was concerned about matching the fabric but after finding another stash of fabric it was very easy to do.  I love how it matches and how one certain animal loves it! These dogs are best models.

The next order was to make a few blankets that would be put in the TV room for the dogs to lie on while everyone in the room is hanging out as well as the dogs.  This is a fantastic scrap buster!

Jerry's T-Shirt Quilts

These quilts were made with my brothers T-shirts. I had agile of them so I found the doubles and separated them then I went by colors.  My niece and nephew picked out which one they liked best and now it resides in their homes.

A Jacket, A Poncho and a Flannel Shirt

This quilt began with two flannel shirts and a jacket and knit poncho.  The black and white knit is form the poncho. I used the trim of it to trim the edge. The jacket is the purple and it was used to to balance out the flannel shirts.  This was a memory quilt of a friend's parents clothes. I find thee really hard to make because I feel like when the scissors cut the fabric I am tearing a part some one's soul. When its all said and done I am usually very relieved when its completed.
 The completed blanket.

The ruffle.
A little closer before it was completed.  Shiny objects are buttons left from the poncho.

A little closer.

Elle's T-Shirt Quilt

This quilt was made for Elle.  It had quilts form all aspects of her life.  I loved making this knowing she was an IU graduate. Go Elle.

Vintage Spin

I fell in live with this quilt the minute I saw it in Kathy Doughty's book Material Obsession.  It was quite a labor of love.  Once I started I could not stop. I was amazed at how many different scraps  I had in my collection. HA! I followed her pattern and used flowers in the middle instead of the back circles she used.  I love having it on my bed and  having people ask about it.  There is plenty to say.

Carolyn's Scraps

This quilt was made for my dear friend Carolyn who lives in beautiful Colorado.  I was visiting  over Christmas and while having dinner with her I realized she needed a quilt from me. I am at a point in my life where everyone I know should have a homemade quilt from me as well as should have something homemade in their home.  I know it warms my heart to have something homemade given to me.
This blanket was made with scraps from another quilt I had made.  I had bought all of this matching fabric from a fabric shop that was closing.  It was very sad due to the closing being from a death.  I could feel a deep sadness in the store so I just wanted to help them out in  a small way.  I did not want to waste a bit of this fabric.
